Chris Adkins | Chief Scientist, Identify3D

Chris Adkins is the Chief Scientist at Identify3D, where he leads the security architecture development. Chris works closely with the product and engineering teams to integrate emerging digital manufacturing and cybersecurity technologies into the Identify3D ecosystem. Prior to joining Identify3D, Chris directed the industry leading anti-counterfeit technology development for Lexmark International. During his time with Lexmark, Chris led R/D efforts in the security, inkjet printhead, and motion control areas. Chris holds 50 U.S. patents. Chris earned BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Originally from Kentucky, Chris lives in Lexington with his wife and three kids.

Robert Carter, PhD 

Rob is an industry leader in research and strategy development for advanced materials and manufacturing with over 18 years of experience in the defense and medical sectors. Most recently, Rob was the Director for Advanced Materials and Process Engineering at Stryker Orthopedics where he was responsible for leading the development of new materials and additive manufacturing techniques for next generation orthopedic devices. Prior to that, he spent 16 years with the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) where he was the Branch Chief of Materials Manufacturing Technology and the Founding Director for the Center for Agile Materials Manufacturing Science (CAMMS). In these roles, Rob led the development of manufacturing technologies for lethality and protection applications, research into additive manufacturing and cold spray technologies, development of new materials and designs for Army applications (alloys, ceramics and composites), and the development of specifications and standards for defense materials and manufacturing requirements.
